Design & Imagery
- Cytherea: Developed by Arthur Percy Saunders in 1953, this cherry rose semi-double peony is named after the Greek goddess of love. Saunders, a chemist born in Ottawa, was a prominent figure in the American Peony Society and contributed significantly to the development of peony hybrids.
- Marie-Victorin: Introduced in 2004 by Maurice Menard and Lindsay D’Aoust of Quebec, this symmetrical, globe-shaped peony is composed of a single row of rounded, pale pink petals with purple-pink flares.
